Founded in 2008 by Jeff Martin in Kansas City, MO, Smallcakes grew to become not just a name that’s recognized throughout the nation, but a standard for delectable treats everywhere. Every morning, Smallcakes bakes and frosts its signature flavors entirely from scratch. It’s this kind of commitment to providing exceptionally delicious, quality sweets that has catapulted this once small business into a booming franchise.
Martin created the signature cupcake flavors himself. With his creativity and talent, he brought the Smallcakes name into the limelight. Appearing on seasons 1, 2, and 7 of Food Network’s widely popular “Cupcake Wars”, people began demanding to get their hands on the mouthwatering creations they were seeing on TV, and Martin was more than happy to deliver!
After appearing on the daytime talk show “The View”, everyone from celebrities to everyday working folk started requesting Smallcakes at their weddings and other special events. USA TODAY even named Smallcakes as one of the Top Ten Cupcake Places in the country, and that’s something we proudly hold onto to this day!
With over 100 locations in the United States, and one now in Dubai, the demand for high-quality, exquisite cupcakes with creative flavors is a testament to Smallcakes’ exponential growth. Denise Kraffert is a Navy veteran who has dreamed of owning a bakery all her adult life. In December 2022, Denise finally realized her dream when she purchased Centennial Smallcakes. Denise brings her passion for baking quality sweets to the shop every day. Whether it’s a Smallcakes Signature Cupcake, or one of Denise’s homemade cheesecakes, that passion for quality is evident in every bite.
Everything we sell is made fresh in our store. Centennial Smallcakes’ mission is to provide a variety of fresh-baked cupcakes, cakes, cheesecakes, and other deserts. All of our baked goods and ice cream are made by hand, in small batches, in house! They’re sold in a clean store with a welcoming atmosphere by friendly, knowledgeable staff who are genuinely happy to help.
